Our Baby!!

Our Precious baby Kesley LeeAnn Hancock was born Friday July 5, 2013. At 11:28 p.m. Weighing in at 7 lbs and 20 inches long. She looks like her big brother Konner just more petite. Her delivery was very fast, and very different then expected. I came in for some surgery the morning of the 5th, I was dilated to a 1. The doctors put off my sugery for a little while why they checked my heart as it was to fast of a beat, they did a ekg and many other tests at that time. Then when they checked me I was dilated to a 1.5. I had been contracting the whole time but they thought I was just false alarming. They went ahead and took me for surgery, while I contracted the entire time through the procedure. I came out and was dilated to a 3 by the time they checked me again, then a 5 within the hour after that. Then a 7 within another hour and 8 in thirty minutes and 10 in just a few minutes later. 3 pushes and Kesley was here. According to her big brother " shes here, shes here shes crying, my siss". Within a sort time later Kesley was taken to the Special Care Unit without us holding her. She was born at 36 weeks and 4 days. A little to early for her lungs to be developed. Since then we have been in Salt Lake. Kesley is being taken care of in the SPC. After delivering her I had to have surgery on me on Monday the 8th. All went much better this time around but I have to go again on Tuesday hopefully for my last procedure. Kesley is a fighter. Her lung saks were not developed so she has been on many different machines for oxygen, and many other plugs and cords. But out little girl is doing great. And everyday is an adventure. Monday the 8th was the very first time I got to hold her, right before my surgery it was such a bitter sweet moment. This time here has felt as if this precious gift of a child had been given to us, but it was not quit ours until we were able to hold her in our arms, and know things would be fine. It is an emotional process like a roller coaster ride every day. But I cant believe how great she is doing. They are saying she will most likely go home on oxygen as she is still requiring 30% but they are hoping she will go down on it with in the next few days. Wednesday night they had a parent social for the parents of the babies who are in the SPC, they gave us some things and on a small towel for baby was this saying which I think is how I have felt as well as Jeremy. "It's hard to come into this life And not have mommy's touch. I know the doctors mean to help But I miss her so much. We had many months together When I was tucked inside. Now we're lonely for each other And we both have cried and cried. But someone gave my mommy A hanky to hold tight. She sleeps and holds it close to her It's filled with love each night. When mommy comes to see me She puts it by my skin It makes me feel so happy 'Cause I feel my mom again. I love these little hankies They work just like a charm And I'll cuddle, smell and hold them tight Till I'm back in Mommy's arms." This time has been an emotional roller coaster for all. We miss Konner dearly and hope he understands that we have to be here with Kesley. But that we love him so much, and think and talk about him constantly. We tell Kesley stories about him and how much he loves her and wants her to come home. It's amazing how much your heart opens up when you have another kid. Lastly thanks to all of our friends and family for the calls of concern. And for watching Konner. Especially my parents this process I know has been a long time, they have helped us through this whole pregnancy process with both our children now. They have put aside there own needs to make sure that we are all alright. We truly know how much you love us, and we thank you for all that you have done, from the early morning calls, the breakfasts, dinners, and lunchs, and watching Konner when I needed it. We truly love you.

April

April is a busy but fun month for us. It always starts out with our anniversary April 4th. We did not do a whole lot, as I don't feel great and Jeremy worked. We celebrated our 5th anniversary by going to Claim Jumper for dinner with a follow up to Walmart to buy a,movie instead of going to one. My mom offered to watch Konner for us so we were able to take our time and just enjoy. It's weird to think we have only been married for 5 years, including when we were high school sweethearts. It seems much longer we think. We have defiantly had a fun and adventurous marriage. We always say it's weird how everything significant for us happens with double digits. Married 4/4, Konner born 3/3, Konner blessed 6/6, closed our on our home 7/7. So we really wonder when this baby girl will make her appearance and will she break the cycle. In April we also celebrated Jeremys birthday on the 22 he turned 28. He did not want a party this year, but I told him he was going to and we'd keep it small. He has been wanting to go bowling so we had his party at the new Ute Lanes. Everyone seemed to have fun. Jeremys favorite gift came from his grandma and grandpa Cunningham. It was priceless to see his face as he saw the.gift, it defiantly will be something he treasures and passes down to his children. Very heartfelt. Thank you guys he truely loves it. I am now in my 28th week of pregnancy, just 2.5 more months to go. Although I have a feeling she's going to make her arrival sooner then that, so will see. I was told today by a doctor that I probably won't make it to my delivery date as well. Just as long as I can get her to a safe point. I am very anxious to get this pregnancy over with, becausef all my problems, but I want her to be healthy so hopefully she'll stay in longer. Konner is getting bigger each day, he is an amazing little boy who loves to watch Team Umizoomi, . He loves dinosaurs. He asked if he could go to the dinosaur expo in salt lake and ride the dinos, so Jeremy, my mom, konner and I all went. It was so much fun for him. He loved it. He rode 3 trexs and 1 triceratops dinosaur. They had a saddle on them and were animated and moved , pure joy for him. Then he got to see a bunch more dinosaurs and play , and buy huge dinosaurs. He's loved it. IM so happy we were able to go last minute.

month of March and some...

Before I forget this event, I really want to remember it... Back in November we took Konner to The Fresh Beat Band concert. It was alot of fun. Konners friends Hunter and Jaelyn, along with their parents, meet up with us there at Abravanal Hall in Salt Lake the night of the 5th. The kids absolutely loved it, as we'll as the parents, it was funner to watch the kids dance and sing by far. My kid loved it and sang the babanas song for days following. As for the month of March, it has been a rough road for me to recover, since having this stint, but I finally feel like IM on the way up, and can function and walk, as we'll as not having to sit on an ice pack most of the day. Konners is now officially a 3 year old and is using that age to his full potential. He is very sassy, but so loving. He loves to push his boundries right now to see what he can get away with. It is a daily talk about the baby, mommy is having, he loves to talk to his little sister thru my belly button, and tells her secrets. He loves to feel her, and make farting noises on my stomach at her he says she likes it. It tickles her. He loves to pretend that he,is having a baby in his belly as we'll. I think he will love his sister, but also have a hard time adjusting when she arrives. We have a few names picked out, and Konner only likes the one and calls her by it when he talks to her, I love the name as we'll but Jeremy isn't so sure yet. Easter this year was fun and exciting for Konner. We took him to the Lapoint Easter egg hunt Saturday morning , which was fun and awesome because it wasn't crowded and kids and parents weren't pushing like vernals usually is. Easter Sunday Konner favorite gift from the bunny was his ninja turtle kite. We spent the whole morning in our yard flying his kite, till we got tired and changed to the side by side four wheeler to pull it instead. That was a blast, and no power lines to worry about. We then went to my brothers house so Tayah and Konner could have a egg hunt, followed by an awesome tike car ride down their driveway that lasted an hour. The kids loved that. After that we headed to Roosevelt to Jeremys familys egg hunt and lunch, followed by my parents for dinner. What a long day but fun.
