Crazy Christmas!

This year was pretty fun with Konner in our family. Definatly brings out the child in the parents alot more. But it also seems to be a little hectic and a little overwhelming as well.  So Friday me and Jeremy had to do a couple of last minute things that was forgotten, then that night Jeremy's family had their annual Christmas party. We got home around 9:30pm, Konner had a bath and then he put his 1st Christmas ornament on our tree.  Needless to say we did not go to bed untill a little after 11 that night.  Which is very unusual for us, and since Konner was off his schedule some of course he woke up at 7am.  Late night eary morning!  We opened our gifts here at our home, this was the first year we hadn't opened gifts with my parents in the morning, since we now have a family of our own they told us not to worry about making it down there so they brought our gifts to us the day before.  I will say I was a bit sad but glad to start something new with our little family.  Konner loved the first part of seeing his gifts from Santa he went straight to his push behind car and then opened 2 presents and didn't want to open any more so we helped him with the rest.  We then went back to Jeremy's parents opened presents and then went to my familys for lunch and had my parents open their gifts.  This year the Sonnier's joined my family and we are so glad to have them be part of the family. We then left my parents around 5 and went to Jeremy's brothers b-day in vernal. and got home around 8.  We were all so tired and exhausted and so ready for the day to be over.  We were all in bed by 9 that night.  We are both so very thankful for our familys and thankful that we could spend time with them this Holiday season.  We have decided to do things a bit different next year in part that we want to start a few new traditions with our little family. It was a great day and we were so happy to have our Son and watch him have his 1st Christmas. It was the highlight of this season. We love you all and hope every one had a Merry Christmas and a Very Merry New Year!

Konner & Ear Tubes

So we finally gave in and Konner had ear tubes put in today.  We had to be there by 7:15am. He wasn't able to have any food from midnight on, so I woke him up at midnight and fed him a bottle knowing he wouldn't be having food for awhile the next morning.  We checked in and then the doctor and nurse came in right after and went over what would be going on with him.  My worry was the anesthesia.  "As a mom you always worry about the things that could happen".  But I felt comfortable that morning so I knew things would be great.  The nurse came and got Konner to take him back for the procedure and within about 20 minutes he was back into my arms eating a bottle.  They said to be prepared for the crying & screaming but as Jeremy always puts it "He's a tough baby" he wasn't doing either when he came back to the room, but a  small whimper here and there.  Out of the other 3 kids in the room that day they were all screaming, so we was prepared to hear the sounds that he did not make.  The car ride home was a little rougher after he saw Grandma Richens out in the parking lot he did not want to leave her.  And that's when the crying started.  But he feel asleep fast when we got home he took another 3 naps throughout the day and just wanted to be held.  All in all he did great and we are so proud of our little guy.  We hope these tubes work out and stop the ear infections that were making him hurt all the time.  Pics below.
